Oakley forging ahead with mobiPOST MMS

As a company with origins as a great innovator, it is no surprise that Oakley South Pacific are now using the latest MMS marketing technology in mobiPOST to communicate with their loyal customers.
Oakley worked with Third Screen Media to deliver highly targeted MMS messages for selected ‘O Stores’ during the busy December period. Creating mindshare amongst their customers in such a busy time of year is always a challenge for retailers, so Oakley adopted MMS as a key strategy.
The fully branded, animated MMS messages invited Oakley’s VIP Customers to special VIP Sales Days (and Nights) and as an added incentive, VIP Members received a significant discounts off Oakley products by showing the MMS in store. The timely and eye catching manner of the MMS was a great way to advertise the sales and meant that recipient had a reminder of the VIP nights in their phones for future reference. Third Screen ran the campaigns as a managed service using Mobipost, this included pre-loading of the campaign copy to test the campaign before loading the VIP customer records and sending. A similar SMS campaign was ran for New Zealand VIP Customers.
The sales results for the VIP events spoke for themselves with Oakley extremely impressed with the results of MMS to drive people instore and increase sales.
Andre Scott Direct Marketing Manager of Oakley noted, “The campaign was a complete success. In NZ for example we budgeted $10,000 for the day, and ended up selling $14,000. ($10,000 of which was during advertised VIP period!). Melbourne Central's MMS went well too...and helped us to achieve budget.”
